Women's Cancer Foundation was established in 1996 and is the longest running Foundation dedicated to funding ovarian cancer research in Australia.

We have contributed millions of dollars to research ovarian and gynaecological cancers, as in Australia today:

  • More than 70% of women diagnosed with ovarian cancer will not survive their disease
  • There is no effective vaccine, early detection test or screening program for ovarian cancer.  As a consequence most women aren't diagnosed until their cancer is at an advanced stage
  • Many women believe a Pap Smear Test or immunisation will cover them for all gynaecological cancers – IT DOESN'T

Women's Cancer Foundation is dedicated to funding an ovarian cancer vaccine, providing funding for Research Nurses and ultimately save women's lives.

Please help us turn the tide against ovarian cancer!

Due to the ongoing work of Women’s Cancer Foundation and the highly professional caring Research Nurses that they fund, patients are able to make informed and proactive decisions in the research process. Vital tissue samples and a generous supply of data from these patients is essential for our research. I am extremely grateful that the money Women’s Cancer Foundation raise towards funding these Research Nurses enables my research to continue.

2 out of 3 women diagnosed with ovarian cancer will die.
Help us turn the tide.
