National Family Portrait Month July 2016
During the month of July 2016, 28 of Australia's top portrait photographers worked together to raise $30,000 for Women's Cancer Foundation!
For a $51 participation fee (the cost of one hour of a research nurse's time), all of which was donated to the Foundation, 550+ mothers and daughters had an opportunity to have a professional portrait session taken that will appear in one of five inspirational books titled Mothers and Daughters…. A Loving Bond.
Participants also had the opportunity to purchase photographs from their photography session.

Hi, my name is Sarah Streets and I am a Brisbane based photographer who offers family photography in your own home. I find that everyone is usually more relaxed in their home environment, especially children and it is here that I can document special memories that you and your family will cherish for years to come.
I am very excited to be able to donate my time for such a wonderful charity and I absolutely love photographing mothers with their daughters. It is truly such a special bond and I would love to capture the special relationship you share so please jump on board and help us raise the much needed funds for ovarian cancer research.

We use a special style of photography called "Beloved," a style based on capturing real honest moments and emotions.
Most people are worried whether they will look good in photographs, and whether their kids will cooperate. We specialise in helping such people capture this special time. Our sessions are fun and relaxed; the kids will feel like they’ve just had a day out to play at the beach.
I had limited access to photography when I was young. My family had one camera and it would come out at special events only. It was many years later when the woman who would later become my wife introduced me to the DSLR. From landscape to event to fashion photography, I did it all, and even got published along the way. Then I realised that my passion was in capturing people’s natural expressions in portrait photography. Helping people connect deeply with each other through photography became my purpose.
As a studio specialising in pregnancy, baby, child and family photography, the subject of ovarian cancer is very close to heart as it affects all of these genres. We have seen how cancer affects not only the person but all their loved ones. This event allows us to help a worthy cause by doing what we love and giving families priceless memories.

Having my own daughter, I have realised that the bond between a mother and daughter is very special. It is very special to be able to capture this bond through photos.
Looking back at their childhood, what do you hope they remember? You may not be able to bottle that thing that makes them irresistible but you can capture it and print it.
Kate is a mum to 3 kids of her own Felix 16, Max 15 and Millie 11 and her dog Immy and cat Sarah. As a mum she understands ways to help you relax and have fun with your kids.
Kate's passion is photographing families in a natural way. She is able to capture the personalities of your kids through her photographs. Her ability to connect with your family means that she captures images that are a true reflection of your family.
When she is not working she loves curling up on the couch with a good book, enjoying a great coffee at a local cafe, or going to the beach with her family.

My name is Nicholas Fiennes and I’m a portrait photographer specialising in studio based photography and fine art wall prints in black & white. I love black & white photography because I feel when colour is taken away from a portrait it becomes more about the people and their relationship with each other.
I am fortunate to be surrounded by some amazing women, my Mum Prue, my wife Louise and my three daughters Lucy, Penny and Harriet. My son Tom and I may be outnumbered but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
When I agreed to support this fundraiser I had no idea the level of support I would get from my local community, to say it has been overwhelming would be an understatement.National Family Portrait Month is a fabulous way for me, with your help, to support the Women’s Cancer Foundation - Ovarian Cancer Institute.
